Today is Peace Officers Memorial Day. This year, 282 officers killed in the line of duty have been added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.

According to the Department of Justice, "Each year, during National Police Week, our nation celebrates the contributions of law enforcement from around the country, recognizing their hard work, dedication, loyalty and commitment to keeping our communities safe." Skippack Fire Company would like to recognize and thank the State Police that help protect us and keep us safe as we respond to fire, traffic and EMS calls, as well as helping us at public events like Fire Prevention and Touch a Truck.
