Skippack firefighters were dispatched to assist Perkiomen Fire Company around 10:30 this morning to rescue a kayaker who was in need of assistance at the bottom of a steep bank, just south of the bridge on Rte 73. The patient was moved across the creek in his boat to the waiting ambulance crew where he was further evaluated.
