Skippack Fire Company will host it’s 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck event on June 7th, 2025 from 10am to 2pm at Skippack Elementary School.

Get up close and personal with fire trucks, ambulances, a trash truck, dump truck, bus, backhoe, cement mixer, tow truck, bucket truck and more! This fun, family-friendly event lets kids (and adults!) explore emergency, construction, public service and utility vehicles and more. Climb aboard, and meet our first responders along with other community members, like contractors, and township employees. We will also have an inflatable obstacle course for the kids!

What is it? Touch-a-Truck offers hands-on learning about public safety vehicles and many other oft seen 'cool' trucks. Why do we do it? It’s a chance to build community connections, inspire young minds, and promote fire safety and volunteerism. Bring the whole family for a day of smiles, and surprises!

We will also have some Skippack Fire Company T-shirts, challenge coins and raffle tickets for sale. This year we are raffling an Eagles helmet signed by members of the 2025 Super Bowl team, with the drawing to be held at our famous Santa at the Station event in December.

This year we have confirmations from the Montgomery County Sheriff, McCauley Tree Service, Refresh-A-Can, Skippack Township, Transfleet, Agostino Utilities, Source One, an Eagles special operations vehicle, Whitetail Disposal, EVB, Strouse Landscaping, Mastrocola, STA, Hedgehog Grill and the 4-H Dairy Club Ice Cream Truck! We will have lots of emergency trucks and boats there including those from Skippack Fire Company, Lower Frederick Fire Company, Goodwill Fire Company (Bridgeport), Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Skippack Emergency Medical Services and North Penn Goodwill, which is a company that provides food and restrooms to emergency scenes.
