On June 30 at around 5 p.m., Skippack Fire Company responded to its eighth building or structure fire in the second half of June. None of these fires occurred within Skippack, emphasizing the important role of mutual aid in our community.
On June 30th, crews assisted in Upper Gwynedd. On Saturday, Skippack responded to a call in Pottstown, and on June 22nd, crews were sent to West Norriton. This period has been unusually busy with fire incidents, many of them located at a distance from Skippack. These responses highlight the strength of mutual aid partnerships, and the confidence that neighboring departments would respond in kind if a major fire occurred in Skippack.
