At approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 4, Skippack firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in Perkiomen. The first crews to arrive found the rear of the home and garage heavily involved in fire. The crew from Squad 86 assisted with interior fire suppression efforts and the crew from Ladder 86 assisted with overhaul operations. High temperatures during the incident required additional personnel so that firefighters could rest and recover, as well as increased supplies of water and electrolytes. Skippack Emergency Medical Services and Royersford EMS provided critical support by delivering much-needed water for the crews on scene. Several neighbors also brought us water and even some fans. Thank you!
