Skippack Fire Company was dispatched to an explosion and fire at Palmer International on Saturday afternoon. The fire was placed under control in about 30 min, but crews continued to investigate for hot spots inside the facility for several more hours. SFC appreciates the support of the EMS staff on scene including Plymouth Community Ambulance, Skippack Emergency Medical Services, Lower Providence Community Center Ambulance and Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Service. We are grateful to our mutual aid companies who assisted on scene including Lower Providence Fire Department, Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Harleysville Community Fire Company, Worcester Volunteer Fire Department, Collegeville Fire Company and Lower Frederick Fire Company, and to Norriton Fire Engine Company for standing by at our station during this extended operation.
