Our open house is on Thursday October 10 from 6-8 pm at our fire station. We will have a live fire demonstration, vehicle rescue demonstration and lots of fire trucks to see. There will be free hot dogs, chips and drinks. You will also have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for an authentic Jalen Hurts signed helmet, 125th anniversary T-shirts and challenge coins. We would love to see you there, come out and celebrate our 125th anniversary!
Fire prevention week (FPW) starts on October 6th and the NFPA has selected the theme of “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!™”. Skippack firefighters will be supporting open houses across the region and will be visiting Skippack Elementary and local daycare centers.
Remember that smoke detectors need to be replaced every 10 years and carbon monoxide detectors every 7. Please check the date codes on the detectors when you change the batteries this year and replace the detectors as needed. |
