Skippack firefighters were dispatched to Deep Creek Rd in New Hanover with Utility and ATV 86 to assist with a large brush fire started by a resident burning cardboard on Friday evening. Skippack officers had just returned to Skippack Fire station after investigating an illegal burn barrel fire in Skippack.

No significant rain is in the forecast, meaning the burn ban and fire risk will continue. Please continue to help your community by following the burn ban and making sure cigarettes and fireplace ashes cannot start fires. Brush and field fires can easily spread to homes.
