Seven Calls in December
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

December 3, 2024

On Tuesday afternoon Skippack firefighters were dispatched to their sixth call this month, and third woods/field fire. The Montgomery County burn ban currently extends until December 16th, and the brush fire risk is still high, despite the rain last week. Tuesday's fire was on the Old Evansburg Rd. near Anders and is pictured here. Monday's fire continues to burn in Bucks County where Tanker 86 supplied water to the scene at Victory Garden's in Warrington, and on Tuesday evening Squad 86 was dispatched to the same fire as part of the large diameter hose strike team, again supplying water to the scene. Monday morning started with a traffic accident at the intersection of Mokychic Rd. and Skippack Pike just before 6 am, and was followed by 2 fire alarms and a general rescue in Collegeville.

Please help us protect Skippack by adhering to the burn ban until it is lifted.
