On Sunday evening, while most people were enjoying the first quarter of the Super Bowl, Skippack firefighters were dispatched to a townhouse fire in Lower Salford as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT),standing by to rescue any trapped or downed firefighters. During this time they put up ladders and pulled hoses for other fire companies. As the fire progressed, Skippack firefighters were put into service to assist extinguishing the remaining fire and look for hot spots, once another RIT company arrived. They returned to Skippack and put everything back in service just in time to see the Eagles win the Super Bowl!
