On Thursday evening, SFC continued its truck company operations training at our facility. The focus was on tasks like roof ventilation, VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search), and ladder skills. While working in in smoke-filled environments crews prioritized safety by wearing proper respiratory protection (SCBA). With visibility severely limited, firefighters depended on refined techniques, clear communication, and frequently thermal imaging cameras to navigate hazards. And as always, the critical ladder deployment, positioning and securing. We were once again joined by Station 83 (Worcester) and Station 61 (East Norriton) for the evening.
